Being getting a lot of these errors, even on church videos!
Doesn’t happen on mobile, so believe it’s CleanBrowsing related.
Any ideas how to avoid this? To be clear, I want anything the kids watch to be under a lot of restrictions.May 6, 2020 at 8:33 pm
If you are using our Family Filter, we will restrict Youtube videos based on their Strict mode.
Unfortunately, the strict mode does block any type of live videos, comments and similar things. It might be better to switch to our Adult filter that won’t set Youtube to the Strict mode (or one of the paid versions to give you more control on what to filter).
thanks!May 6, 2020 at 11:53 pm
Thanks for the info.
Do you have a solution where I can block more for kids than adults? How would that work?May 11, 2020 at 6:21 pm
I’m experiencing the exact same problem. I need to use Family Filter in order to block VPN/proxies but it’s almost impossible to use Youtube with that filter. I don’t know which one to choose here, youtube or bypass filters with proxies?
There must be 3rd option for this. Any help will be appreciated.May 11, 2020 at 7:20 pm
As Daniel mentioned, right now we’re limited in what we can do with the filters. Our only option is to make it available, Google dictates what they block.
Unfortunately, the family filter doesn’t allow you to tune the network to your liking. But, it is possible via our paid plans. Via the paid plans you can configure the network to be identical to the Family filter, but also remove the YouTube limitations so that you can view what you need to view.
Thanks in advance.
