I am finding that both the family and adult filters stop me from streaming music from spotify. Is this on purpose? Is it possible for you guys to change that? Thank youMay 13, 2020 at 9:24 pm
That’s odd, we don’t block Spotify. That’s a video streaming service, and not blocked via the Free filters. Do you mind sharing a bit more information?
Do you mind running these commands and sharing their output:

If i turn on the filter, regardless of whether it’s the adult or family filter, it will stop me from streaming music from spotify. It’ll give me a “no internet connection available.”May 14, 2020 at 3:55 pm
What mobile device are you using? Android? iOS? I was able to test Spotify on a Mac using the Family filter and had no issues. Curious if its device specific.
Also, the error you’re getting “no internet connection available” is that only in the Spotify application? Or is that happening when you make the DNS change?
Lastly, if it’s not happening when you make the DNS change, and the internet is working outside the app, can you go to this page and share the results of the “standard test”: dnsleaktest.com

I’m on a pixel XL. The problem is probably that I’m using the Spotify apk. My problems are only while using the app with the family and adult filters. These are the results from the “standard test”.
