Setup DNS Private – Android 10 (Redmi 9A)

Good evening!
Fortunately, I have a premium CleanBrowsing account! However, when I put the Private DNS (Android 10) on my smartphone, for example: “customOOOOOOOOO.dot.cleanbrowsing.org”, as instructed on the CleanBrowsing website, the block simply does not work. I did tests and verified that the DNS is working on the smartphone (both through the dnsleaktest.com website and through the CleanBrowsing dashboard). However, it does not block the sites included in the customized blacklist. In the CleanBrowsing dashboard, it appears that DNS is active, but it does not track the websites I entered and I am entering “Activity”. Even using the smartphone all day, the “Activity” is completely empty. It is as if the DNS is connected, but does not recognize it when I enter the internet and the websites. On my smartphone, I try to use CleanBrowsing to block WhatsApp’s bing.net and Twitter from other apps that have a hidden browser.
Although I am the biggest fan of CleanBrowsing, I am frustrated with that particular situation.
What can I do?Hi Thiago
Sorry for this experience. Do you mind sending us an email to support@cleanbrowsing.org so we can troubleshoot further?
Thanks
Hello CleanBrowsing team!
I sent a message reporting the problem to this email the same day I created this post. I’m waiting for contact.
Thank you so much!!@Thiago
I am guessing it might have something to do with the field in CleanBrowsing that asks for you to enter your public IP address. CleanBrowsing uses this to identify where the traffic is coming from and what to filter. I remember having an issue with this myself. I am sure CB support will help you best here, but you might want to look at this link: https://community.cleanbrowsing.org/knowledge-base/update-your-public-ip-on-cleanbrowsing/
