    Hi,
I have the adult free filter setup and I swear that it was working but now it seems to not be working at all.

I’m pretty sure that DoH is not the issue (I checked in my Firefox and it’s not active). I have my DNS setup in my computer since my router doesn’t permit modifications of the DNS – BUT – if I type:

    nslookup playboy.com 185.228.168.10

I get the domain non existent response as expected.

My ipconfig /all shows this for DNS servers:

    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::b298:2bff:fe14:126a%6
    185.228.168.10
    185.228.169.11
    2a01:cb10:4d1:be00:b298:2bff:fe14:126a

My Windows settings show that IPv6 is OFF. But is the problem nevertheless the IPv6 DNS servers in this list?

    Thanks for your help!

That’s what it looks like. Mind pasting the results of the dnsleak test:

    https://dnsleaktest.com/

If you are on Windows, you can also try our App to force CleanBrowsing on that device.

    thanks,

I just realized that the nslookup I did specified the cleanbrowsing server so I redid the test with and without specifying a server:

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> nslookup playboy.com
    Server: UnKnown
    Address:  fe80::b298:2bff:fe14:126a

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: playboy.com
    Addresses: 13.249.11.32
              13.249.11.24
              13.249.11.96
              13.249.11.107

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> nslookup playboy.com 185.228.168.10
    Server: adult-filter-dns.cleanbrowsing.org
    Address: 185.228.168.10

    *** adult-filter-dns.cleanbrowsing.org can't find playboy.com: Non-existent domain
    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32>

So it’s obvious that multiple dns servers are at work here.

    Daniel,
I used the Windows App and that works. I’d like to uninstall the app. Will the settings be kept?
    Thanks,
    David

I can confirm there is some problem with the “Adult filter”:

    IPv4 address: 185.228.168.10 and 185.228.169.11

I am running stubby that connects to DNS over TLS to above IP and it seems to be some problem with the service.

Exampel: when I surf to http://www.bing.com and search for the word “sex” I get unwanted results. That has never happened before. So there is probably some network issues going on here because sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. I have switched to Cloudflares 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 until this issue is resolved.

Great service but it has to work. I have 2 kids running on the internet.. so there is no room for error!

I have done some testing and it seems to by iOS version 14 that giving the mixed results. Firefox on laptop and older iPads have no issue here. Sorry for my shout-out. I will do some further testing here..
