So for the past few days I have noticed sort-of on-and-off that some sites for Brave Browser are not resolving properly. I’m not sure if this is a problem with CleanBrowsing’s DNS servers but I thought this is where I’d start. The domains, that so far I have noticed are brave(dot)com, go-updater(dot)brave(dot)com, support(dot)brave(dot)com are not resolving AT ALL. I run DNS over TLS along with DNSSEC to the adult filters at CB and for some reason these domains do not resolve with the adult filters. An NXDOMAIN is returned, however, as soon as I change the DNS to 1.1.1.1 everything is fine and they resolve fine. My firewall (PfSense) logs are saying “Could not establish a chain of trust to keys for brave.com. DNSKEY IN” and “query response was NXDOMAIN ANSWER.” I’m not sure if the former is related. Two servers in question reside at the IP’s 38.122.2.58 and 66.154.113.154. The “go-updater” domain is responsible for letting users install extensions from the Chrome Web Store and if it doesn’t resolve…no extensions 🙁
I troubleshooted some more, and this is true for all the filters provided by CB regardless if its Adult, Security or Family. Something interesting I have found is I am able to resolve queries to Brave if I run the CleanBrowsing app on my phone. Not sure what is going on between my firewall and CB all of the sudden but I am sure beginning to lose my damn marbles. Thoughts?

Seems like the issue has resolved since I have woke up this morning so this can be closed. Also, I would like to know how to close this forum account? Thanks.
