DNS messing with wifi?

It seems like ever since I downloaded cleanbrowsing and activated the adult filter, I have been experiencing intermittent issues with my wifi. It isn’t just locally on my laptop, because it affects every device in my apartment. It seems like turning the filters on and off sometimes fixes the problem. I teach English online, so this is becoming a significant issue when my internet crashes in the middle of a class. It makes me look very unprofessional. Thanks.
