    Hello,

Is there a way to activate the application automatically when the phone is started again? I am on android

I’m running into a similar problem. The android app will not automatically turn itself back on when the phone is started again, and sometimes it turns itself off even without the device being restarted. Also, the pin number is locking me out of turning it back on, when ideally it should just lock me out of turning it off.

What version of Android do you have?

If you are on a newer versions (9+), it might be easier to just configure their Private DNS (Settings->Network->Private DNS) to use CleanBrowsing. That way the App is not needed and all your DNS is encrypted on all networks.

    Details:

    https://cleanbrowsing.org/guides/dnsovertls

    Would that work?

    thanks!

    I’m running version 8.1.0, so I don’t have Private DNS.  🙁

Ah, is there any way to upgrade it? At least in the mean time until we fix the App.

Upgrading is not an option right now. Will there be an update anywhere to let us know if/when the App gets fixed for this issue?

Yes, we will post it under the News section in the forum there.

    thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for your answers. With using the private dns on android 9, it is working but my point is that you can remove it without password… Is there a way to fix it?

Have you experimented with Android parental controls? I’m curious to know if they’re any good. My kids aren’t looking to bypass it yet, they appreciate the filter at the moment but I suspect that might not last too long.
